Numbers seem backwards, not a strong magnet

I really wanted to like this, as it is less expensive than the We R Memory mat, which I also have.

I was hoping for something similar to an Olfa mat, where the numbers start at the bottom and go left to right and bottom to top on the sides. This is partway reversed. My fault for not noticing the photo.

Most people normally start at the lower left corner, but with the numbers on this you have to subtract numbers instead of adding. Example: a 5x5 card base. You can line up at the lower left corner, however, the number going up the side starts at 12. See photo.

So I subtracted a half star for that. I hope they fix the issue. I also subtracted a star and half for the hold on this. The magnet is not that strong, the mat is not that strong. Compared to the We R Memory mat, this is very weak. The ruler does not stay in place very well and the mat bends more. I will use it under my Big Shot to place dies. I will use my WRM mat for my workspace. Although, I'm hoping that mat will soon have inch markings on the side in newer versions.
Very magnetic-y

This is a handy product - and with strong magnetic powers (which makes it challenging when your work surface has lots rulers, brands, pens, dies, and other metals on it). BUT, with that being said, the magnets that came with the mat (plus the ruler is also magnetic), keeping paper in place is a breeze! The mat is a pretty heavy magnetic sheet but it's not rigid so the soft surface can get hole-y if you're using a pointy tool and definitely no fine/hard-tipped pens if you have a heavy hand. I use the included 6 (maybe 5?) small magnets all the time though not really with the mat since the ruler does the job.
Wish I found this 10 years ago!

I had to get a second one since I loved the first one so much. Using the magnets to hold down elements and photos makes scrapping with cats easier! The magnetic ruler helps to keep titles straight, 12" borders straight and much more! I wish I found this years ago!
